How to confirm / reproduce
- Check the official WoW forums and launcher news for a maintenance post before assuming an outage.
- Distinguish scheduled maintenance from an unannounced outage by whether Blizzard posted ahead of time.
- If only your character is affected but the realm list is up, treat it as a character/world issue, not server status.
